hitotoki launches, and on time to boot!
The ongoing collaboration between Paul and Chris of AQ and myself (of Chin Music Press) went live May 1st. I think we're all pretty excited about how it turned out. Especially since it was a true collaborative exercise in every sense -- design, concept, layout, logo development, editorial consideration, etc. And we all know how easy it is for something collaborative to end up being all compromise and dull edges. I think it's safe to say what we ended up with is without a doubt better than anything we could have come up with individually. Not to get too gushy but I can't express how happy I am to have had the opportunity to work on a project form start to finnish in such close collaborative quarters with such talented folk. Here's to hoping there's more hitotokis sooner down the line than later.
The whole Chin Music team came into swing at the end with Bruce and David swooping in like editorial Spider People, providing us with a steady hand and sharp eye, doing an amazing job pruning our launch submissions, including some last minute entries.
There's lots to talk about regarding the experience of producing this site but I'll save that for another post over on the CMP blog. For now, check it out and if you've ever been to Tokyo, consider submitting!
